SCUBA diving insurance

You require insurance to cover your medical expenses if you are injured in a sport diving accident. Most SCUBA Diving Insurance companies focus on covering you for accidents, and the definition most companies will give you of an 'accident' is as follows- 'An accident is a sudden unexpected unusual specific event which occurs at an identifiable time and place.'

The easiest way to sort out your SCUBA Diving Insurance is to include it in your travel insurance. Unfortunately you'll find that the majority of companies will not insure you for dives deeper than fifty metres (if your looking at depths of fifty plus you might want to consider getting a submarine rather than insurance). It is also possible, and advisable, to get insurance on your diving equipment. If your taking some underwater pictures, Camera Insurance will cover cameras, housings, lenses, and strobes. Be sure to compare different company prices for SCUBA Diving Insurance in order to get the best deal.
